MISO invites a 2027 Summer Intern in Power Systems Engineering (Graduate) to contribute to grid reliability through power flow studies, model development, and process automation. The role exposes you to PSS E, TARA, EMS, Python and SQL, with housing options and a mentor to guide you.

You’ll review forecasts and run simulations, delivering findings that inform planning and operations. Expect cross-team collaboration and a final project presentation to leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Enrolled as a graduate student for the internship term.
• Strong programming and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Support power flow studies, model development, and planning tasks.
• Contribute to contingency analysis and automation efforts.
• Develop automation tools using Python and SQL.
