Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with standard design tasks, updates, and project duties under supervision. The role spans multiple market segments, with a focus on the Power group’s planning, design, and startup activities in decarbonization and energy projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an engineering degree, with ABET preference, strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills, and a drive to grow within the field.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Previous internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and active involvement in activities.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques to design tasks.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties and design updates.
• Support assignment work across market segments, including Power.
• Communicate findings effectively in written and verbal form.
