Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Engineering Interns in Phoenix, AZ, to support standard engineering tasks, design updates, and project duties under lead engineers. The role spans multiple market segments, with Power focusing on decarbonization tech and energy systems.

Typical duties include data entry, documentation, PowerPoint presentations, and research to propose solutions. Candidates should be enrolled in Civil Engineering, have good communication, and demonstrate campus or community

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field, ABET accreditation preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrated leadership and campus/community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions and ad hoc project tasks.
• Collect and analyze data to support continuous improvement efforts.
• Present solutions to project concerns.
• Contribute to project duties under the direction of lead engineers.
