Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Engineering Intern to support Power market projects. You will assist with design tasks, data entry, documentation, and slide-based presentations while learning under lead engineers.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, ABET preferred, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and strong communication. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; internship is full-time, with opportunities to grow and participate in campus

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus/community involvement and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to project concerns.
• Research solutions and recommend design improvements.
• Assist with ad hoc projects assigned by managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
