Responsibilities

Join us in leading the change!

Conduct IBR Dynamic Modeling studies related to existing and future ERCOT and other regional reliability standards. This position will have specific emphasis on IBR plant dynamic modeling.

How you can make an impact:

1. Perform detailed bulk power system studies using software such as PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT.
2. Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit, and dynamic.
3. Perform compliance assessments on IBR facility ratings, protection coordination, and ride-through.
4. Process, generate, and maintain data for engineering studies.
5. Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed.
6. Ensure timely completion of projects while meeting quality and budget objectives.

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here's what's needed:

1. Master's degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on power systems.
2. 3-4 years of experience as a power systems engineer.
3. Experience with power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability.
4. Experience with power system software like PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT.
5. Experience with automation/programming in Python.
