Responsibilities

Join us in leading the change!

• Conduct IBR Dynamic Modeling studies related to ERCOT and other regional reliability standards, with emphasis on IBR plant dynamic modeling.
• Perform detailed bulk power system studies using software such as PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT.
• Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit, and dynamic.
• Perform compliance assessments on IBR facility ratings, protection coordination, and ride-through capabilities.
• Process, generate, and maintain data for engineering studies.
• Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed.
• Ensure timely completion of projects while meeting quality and budget objectives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on power systems.
• 3-4 years of experience as a power systems engineer.
• Experience with power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability.
• Experience with power system software like PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT.
• Experience with automation and programming in Python.
