RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a mid-level Engineer II, Electrical BoP to support utility-scale power assets. You will analyze BOP and substation systems, prepare diagrams, and ensure protection and arc-flash studies meet standards.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, adherence to NERC PRC-019/PRC-024, and the use of ETAP/PSSE tools to build reliable models. Office-based with travel.

Qualifications

• This role requires a minimum of 3 years in power systems engineering including short-circuit and arc flash studies.
• Experience with operating and analyzing high voltage power systems equipment is essential.
• Familiarity with NERC standards and protective device coordination is required.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, NEC, NESC, and OSHA regulations is expected.
• Working toward PE certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review short-circuit studies and arc flash hazard analyses.
• Develop protective device coordination and relay settings.
• Prepare one-line diagrams and arc flash labeling documentation.
• Create and maintain electrical system models using ETAP and PSSE/PSLF/PSCAD.
• Support compliance with NERC standards and conduct reliability studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and project clients.
