Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a mid-level Engineer II, Electrical BoP Engineer to support electrical power systems for BOP components and substations. You will review diagrams, perform short-circuit and arc-flash analyses, and develop ETAP models while coordinating with Operations, Asset Management, Compliance, and Development teams.

Required 3+ years in power systems, knowledge of protective relaying, device coordination, and NERC standards; travel to sites will be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering; EIT preferred, PE in progress.
• 3+ years in power systems engineering with short-circuit and arc flash studies.
• Experience with operating and analyzing high voltage power systems equipment.
• Knowledge of NERC PRC-019 and PRC-024 standards.
• Willingness to travel to job sites and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review short-circuit studies and arc flash analyses for electrical systems.
• Develop and annotate one-line diagrams and protective device coordination.
• Create and maintain electrical system models using ETAP.
• Support power system reliability studies and NERC compliance efforts.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients to gather data and inputs.
