Job summary

Core States Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support our Architecture and Engineering business unit, specializing in end-of-life analyses, short circuit coordination, arc flash analyses, and related calculations. You will produce construction documents under the guidance of Electrical Engineers and Project Managers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role offers remote or hybrid work, with possible office days in select U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and PE preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical power systems design for commercial projects.
• PE required.
• Revit experience is required; AutoCAD and SKM PowerTools are a plus.
• Familiar with equipment like switchgear, MCCs, generators, VFDs, UPS.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical design plans, calculations, reports, and construction documents with limited direction.
• Resolve complex electrical design challenges related to power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, code compliance, constructability, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations.
• Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
• Coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
• Develop and mentor electrical engineering staff through technical guidance and project feedback.
• Lead production staff through assigned tasks and review work for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and quality.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.
