Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer for our Design Engineering team in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on power engineering across large projects, with opportunities to contribute from concept through delivery.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, apply engineering techniques, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with construction partners to ensure safe, cost-effective designs. A Bachelor's in EE and 3+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering required, EIT license preferred.
• At least 3 years of power engineering experience.
• Familiar with basic computing and introductory programming courses; able to use electrical design software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and apply engineering techniques to design large power projects.
• Coordinate design efforts, review bids, and make contract recommendations.
• Prepare electrical designs including layouts, schematics and calculations.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure conformance to design standards.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and construction partners.
