Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Mid Level Electrical Engineer to contribute to power projects across North America. This role focuses on electrical design, standards compliance, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale power facilities.

Ideal candidates bring ABET-accredited EE backgrounds, EIT certification, and at least three years of relevant experience, with a track record of mentoring engineers and coordinating complex design efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and EIT license.
• At least 3 years of power engineering experience.
• Experience with electrical design software tools and basic computing skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques to design large power projects.
• Coordinate design efforts with project personnel and perform bid evaluations.
• Prepare electrical designs including layouts, schematics, calculations.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to design standards.
• Collaborate with in-house engineers and construction superintendents to deliver integrated design and field solutions.
