Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer in our Power Design Engineering group. This position supports the design of large power facilities and offers opportunities to work across North America from Tempe, AZ or other listed offices.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited), an EIT license, and at least 3 years of power engineering experience; you should be comfortable with basic computing and introductory programming, and with design software tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• EIT license and at least 3 years of power engineering experience.
• Familiar with basic computer operation and introductory programming.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques for large power projects.
• Prepare electrical designs, schematics, and calculations; coordinate with partners.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to deliver constructible designs.
• Support design through construction with a focus on safety and cost-effectiveness.
