(SEL) is hiring an Automation Engineer to design, configure, validate, and support power system automation, protection, and control projects using SEL products. The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience and willingness to travel up to 20% domestically.

You will collaborate with customers and cross‑functional teams, develop design documents, and contribute to successful project delivery while upholding high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in relevant roles.
• Experience with power system automation, protection, and control systems.
• Ability to travel domestically at least 20%.
• Experience with SEL products and related technologies.
• Ability to design, configure, validate, install, commission, and support automation systems.
• Strong communication with customers and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Apply concepts related to power system automation, protection, and control systems.
• Design, configure, validate, install, and commission automation and protection systems with SEL products.
• Provide technical training and support to customers during project execution and operation.
• Develop and contribute to functional design specifications, engineering studies, and system architectures.
• Prepare and maintain engineering deliverables including design documents, reports, checklists, and commissioning records.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure project delivery.
• Maintain a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction throughout all project phases.
