Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Typically 6+ years' experience in setup, configuration, and troubleshooting automation and control systems.
• Knowledge of OSI model and networking principles (layer 2-4).
• Excellent presentation and training skills; strong writing and documentation ability.
• Willing to travel up to 15%.
• Ability to learn new skills and work cooperatively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of power system automation, industrial control systems, protocols, serial and network communications, security, and logic programming.
• Lead in customer technical support including installation, commissioning, and operation of automation and control systems.
• Develop and analyze product specifications and validation tests.
• Create and maintain product documentation including guides, data sheets, and manuals.
• Develop technical and market analyses to evaluate proposed products or enhancements.
• Evaluate competing automation products.
• Serve as technical lead on projects and mentor engineers.
