Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Power System Metering Engineer in the Northeast region.

You will work with customers to apply technologies to power systems, design demonstrations, and support SEL products while teaching others how to use SEL solutions. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required and a master’s is preferred; 5+ years of power quality and metering experience is expected, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with power quality, metering and electric power systems.
  • Experience with revenue metering and harmonics.
  • Strong ability to teach and mentor others.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to apply new technologies to their power systems.
  • Design models and demonstrations to teach customers how SEL solutions work.
  • Support SEL products and troubleshoot to root cause.
  • Analyze meter and relay responses to faults and disturbances.
  • Contribute to and review technical papers and guides.
