Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Orlando, FL is seeking an Engineering Intern to support power and broader engineering projects. You will assist with design updates, data collection, documentation, and prepare presentations for project teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design tasks and updating existing designs.
• Support lead engineers with project duties and ad hoc tasks.
• Research solutions to project concerns and present findings.
• Collect and analyze data to drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and documentation.
• Handle general inquiries and office tasks.
