Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Orlando, FL is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with standard engineering tasks, design updates, and project support across market segments. You will help with data entry, presentations, and research while collaborating with lead engineers.

A 3.0 GPA and campus involvement are preferred. This internship requires pursuing a bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering with ABET accreditation preferred, and strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership qualities.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
