Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Denver is seeking Engineering Interns to apply standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers, and update designs. The team supports the Power market with decarbonization tech, storage, solar, and other projects.

Responsibilities include filing, data entry, PowerPoint prep, data analysis, and presenting solutions. A 3.0 GPA and active campus involvement are preferred, with eligibility to work in the U.S. Full-time schedule and travel up to 5% are noted.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active involvement in campus, community or volunteer activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tasks requiring standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions and research solutions to project concerns.
• Present solutions to concerns and participate in ad hoc projects as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with policies and standards and demonstrate leadership.
