Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Raleigh, NC seeks an Engineering Intern to assist lead engineers with design tasks, data handling, documentation, and presentations across Global Facilities projects.

You must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with ABET accreditation preferred and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Strong communication, problem-solving, and a proactive learning mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship/related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to project concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
