Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to learn and support the Project Safety Program across North America. You will help develop site safety policies, monitor activities for regulatory compliance, and assist in training and audits, contributing to a strong safety culture.

You will review work plans for safety conformance, provide corrective actions, and support metrics reporting while adapting to diverse sites and weather conditions. Travel and relocation may be required to sites for projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Safety Program development and site safety policies.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with government regulations and company policies.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and help track safety metrics.
• Assist in audits, coaching, and onsite safety training.
• Travel and relocate to project sites as required.
