Job summary

Kiewit offers a Safety Intern role focused on the safety of teams across North America. You will learn programs, regulations, and guidelines, supporting field operations and project sites to ensure workers return home safely.

The internship develops skills in safety program audits, site policies, and incident reporting while offering real-world construction exposure and potential relocation to project sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in safety-related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willing to travel and relocate as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Project Safety Program.
• Monitor construction activities for regulatory compliance.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and track safety metrics.
• Review work plans for safety conformance.
• Participate in safety audits, coaching, and onsite training.
• Work in varied environments and travel as needed.
