Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Power Protection Instructor based in Wendell, NC to deliver hands-on, instructor-led training enabling customers and teams to apply protection technologies in real-world environments.

Responsibilities include teaching protection fundamentals and relay applications, tailoring content, and guiding hands-on labs while collaborating with engineering and services teams to stay current. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of power system protection experience across transmission, distribution or industrial environments.
• Hands-on with protection relays and protection schemes from any manufacturer.
• Commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of power protection systems.
• Willingness to travel ~5–10% for customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on, instructor-led training on power protection fundamentals and relay applications.
• Teach CT/VT fundamentals, fault analysis, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting.
• Customize existing materials for specific customer and internal audiences.
• Support hands-on labs and guide learners through real-world protection scenarios.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management and services to align content with updates.
• Incorporate feedback to improve course delivery and learner experience.
• Participate in evolving training methods including hybrid and AI-enabled learning tools.
