Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, NC is launching the Power Protection & Automation Production Technician Development Program (PPA PTDP), a one-year, hands-on training inside the Panel Assembly Workshop. You’ll develop fundamentals in protection and automation, wiring, quality testing, and on-the-job mentoring on real customer projects.

You’ll work alongside experienced technicians and engineers supporting utilities and industrial facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Passion for innovation and hands-on technical work.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• In final year or approaching graduation; eligible to work full-time in summer.
• Willingness to travel extensively; up to 10 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Build, wire, and test Protection & Automation control panels.
• Install, replace, and troubleshoot electrical and automation components.
• Perform wiring modifications, rewiring, and equipment repairs.
• Read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities; follow safety procedures.
• Adhere to customer safety, quality, and site requirements.
