Job summary

Siemens is seeking candidates for the Power Protection and Automation Engineering Development Program (PA EDP) in Wendell, NC. This one-year program places you on the Smart Infrastructure Electrification & Automation team with two six-month rotations in Protection and Automation.

You will gain hands-on field experience across U.S. substations, complete training, and transition to the Solutions Engineering team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s in Electrical/Power Engineering.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities with leadership potential.
• Willing to travel up to 38 weeks per year to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Complete two six‑month rotations in Protection and Automation across the U.S.
• Design, test and implement power protection and automation solutions.
• Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Transition into Solutions Engineering after program completion.
