Job summary

Siemens invites qualified candidates to join the Power Protection and Automation Engineering Development Program (PA EDP) based in Wendell, NC. This one-year development program offers two technical rotations in Protection and Automation, with extensive field exposure across the U.S.

and the possibility to join the Solutions Engineering team after completion. You will gain experience with protection relays, RTUs, HMIs, and digital substations while designing and deploying power protection

Qualifications

Pursuing or completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, or related field.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Willingness to travel extensively for field experience (up to 38 weeks per year) and relocation to Wendell, NC.

Responsibilities

Complete two six-month rotations in Protection and Automation.
Gain exposure to protection relays, RTUs, HMIs, and communication networks within substations.
Design and implement power protection and automation solutions.
Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
Transition into Solutions Engineering with a focused area after program end.
