Job summary

ECNS Global Consultants, PLLC is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to design, test, and maintain protection systems for power networks. You will work with relay protection, coordination studies, and power system analysis to improve reliability and safety.

Remote work with project travel is available, and compensation ranges across multiple seniority levels. Responsibilities include relay settings, system studies, documentation, and field support from commissioning to outages, with

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited EE degree required.
• FE certification for Engineer II position; PE license preferred though not required.
• 1–3 years experience for Engineer I; 3+ for Engineer II; 7+ for Engineer III.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection and control engineering activities including relay settings and fault analysis.
• Develop and maintain calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Design, configure, test, and troubleshoot relays, SCADA, RTUs and communications networks.
• Support commissioning, startup, FAT/SAT, outages and field implementation.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, ANSI, NERC and related standards.
• Coordinate with teams, vendors and clients to meet project goals.
• Provide technical reviews and deliverables; mentor junior staff for Engineer III.
