Job summary

ECNS Global Consultants, PLLC is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer I-III to design, implement, test, and maintain protection and control systems for safe, reliable electrical power networks.

You will apply relay protection, coordination, and power system analysis to develop solutions, support commissioning and field deployment, and ensure compliance with IEEE/ANSI/NERC standards. Travel of 5–30% is required, with options for remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Experience levels per role: I (1–3 years), II (3+ years), III (7+ years).
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 5–30%.

Responsibilities

• Perform relay protection settings, coordination studies, fault analysis, and power system studies.
• Design, configure, test, and troubleshoot protective relays, SCADA systems, RTUs, communications networks, and automation systems.
• Support or lead commissioning, startup, FAT/SAT, outages, and field implementation activities.
• Apply IEEE, ANSI, NERC and related standards in protection and control practices.
• Coordinate with project teams, operations, contractors, vendors, and clients to deliver engineering solutions.
