Job summary

ECNS Global Consultants, PLLC is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer I, II, III to design, implement, test, and maintain protection and control systems for electrical power networks. The role focuses on relay protection, coordination, and power system analysis to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The position supports remote work with 5-30% travel, reports to the VP of Engineering, and offers a salary range of $65,000–$185,000 plus exempt supplemental pay for extra hours and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• FE certification is preferred for II; PE license preferred but not required for III.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection and control engineering activities including relay settings and coordination studies.
• Develop, review, and maintain calculations, drawings, reports, and relay settings files.
• Design, configure, test, and troubleshoot protective relays, SCADA systems, RTUs, and communications networks.
• Support commissioning, startup, outages, and field implementation activities.
• Apply IEEE, ANSI, NERC, and related protection practices.
