Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Utility Operator to operate and inspect power plant systems, including boilers, under supervision of the Shift Supervisor and Control Room Operator. You will monitor boiler plant auxiliary equipment, read meters, and report anomalies while maintaining safe, efficient operations.

The role requires overtime and rotating shifts, with hands-on work on equipment like air compressors, boilers, pumps, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Three or more months related experience and/or training.
• Mechanical skills sufficient to replace shear pins, repack valves, and inspect equipment.
• Knowledge to operate power plant auxiliary equipment like air compressors, dryers, pumps, and dampers.
• Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment per plant procedures.
• Monitor and inspect boiler plant auxiliary equipment (pumps, motors, fans, dampers, etc.).
• Read meters and gauges to identify malfunctions or abnormal conditions and report them.
