Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Utility Operator to support the safe operation and inspection of power plant systems, including boilers and related equipment. You will work under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor and Control Room Operator to ensure reliable plant performance.

The role requires monitoring and maintaining boiler auxiliaries, reading meters, performing sampling, and operating support machinery such as air compressors and pumps. Overtime and rotating shifts may be needed.

Qualifications

• Three or more months of related experience or training.
• Mechanical skills to replace shear pins, repack valves, and inspect equipment.
• Ability to operate power plant auxiliary equipment such as air compressors, dryers, pumps.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate assigned equipment per plant procedures.
• Monitor boiler plant auxiliary equipment including pumps, motors, fans and valves.
• Read meters and gauges to identify malfunctions and report abnormal conditions.
• Perform ash sampling and water treatment as assigned.
• Operate mobile equipment (Bobcat, steer loader) and forklift when required.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and comply with safety rules.
• Work overtime and rotating shifts as needed.
