Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Plant Operator to maintain a safe and efficient boiler system, monitor emissions, and optimize generation and burnout within an environmentally compliant operation.

You will monitor data, respond to changing conditions, and, as needed, supervise and train other plant personnel while performing hands-on maintenance on boilers and associated equipment.

Qualifications

• Two years of power plant experience as an APO or comparable role.
• Mechanical skills for maintenance tasks (e.g., shear pins, valve repacking).
• Ability to pursue ASME QRO Provisional license.
• Strong math skills for job functions.
• Knowledge of operation and control of steam generating power plants.
• Massachusetts facilities require a 2nd Class Engineers license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operational and emissions data.
• Respond to changing conditions to maximize safety, environmental compliance, and efficiency.
• Coordinate and train Assistant Utility Operator, Utility Operator and other plant personnel.
• Perform physical duties related to maintaining boilers and equipment.
• Maintain a positive work environment with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
