Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Shift Supervisor to direct the Operations Department and plant personnel, ensuring safe, efficient operation and compliance with environmental standards. The role involves enforcing policies, training staff, and maintaining records while acting as the Plant Manager's representative when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (accredited).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is desirable.
• Two years working in a power plant environment as PO or comparable position, or 5 years related experience.
• ASME QRO Provisional license (ASME) or similar qualification.
• Massachusetts facility license requirements (2nd Class Engineer).
• Math skills sufficient to complete required job functions.
• Knowledge of operation and control of a steam generating power plant.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Working knowledge of PC operations.
• Overtime/on-call availability.
• Swing/rotating shift experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises Operations Department and other personnel to ensure the facility is operated and maintained in a clean, safe, and efficient manner during duty hours.
• Maintains company policies, environmental compliance, and safety requirements.
• Trains shift personnel in safety procedures and equipment use, plant operating procedures, and environmental standards and compliance.
• Enforces lockout/tagout system, confined space entry program, and welding and cutting permits.
• Writes reports and procedures, completes timesheets, and documents attendance and tardiness.
• Creates work requests in the CMMS and maintains operation logs.
• Conducts rounds to ensure proper operation, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Acts as Plant Manager's representative when upper management is off-site.
• Completes corporate and plant training programs within prescribed time frames.
• Promotes teamwork and maintains positive plant morale.
• Maintains a safe, productive work environment.

Education
