Job summary

Qualifications

• Three or more years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electric-generating equipment.
• Detailed knowledge of steam-generating power plant operations, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Power-generation or resource-recovery experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Supervise the operation of boilers, turbines, steam-generation systems and related equipment.
• Conduct regular rounds, monitor conditions, and manage personnel activities.
• Respond to emergencies, equipment failures, and abnormal operating conditions.
• Direct and mentor shift personnel to build a cross-trained team.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits, regulatory requirements, and licenses.
• Lead inspections, maintenance planning, and operational improvements.
