Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Process Safety Engineer to establish safety parameters across power generation systems at the Memphis plant and related facilities. You will serve as a safety SME, partnering with operations, maintenance, and construction teams to mitigate process risks.

Responsibilities include PHAs, FAT/SAT, PSSRs, and implementing PSM programs. Relocation to Memphis, non-remote role, occasional extended hours during outages and startups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in process safety, chemical or mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
• 3+ years of design, commissioning, or process safety experience in power generation/utilities/high-hazard systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PHAs for power generation systems and utilities and recommend risk controls.
• Evaluate overpressure/overtemperature of boilers, HRSGs, turbines, vessels, and relief systems.
• Perform FAT/SAT, risk assessments, and hazard analyses on process and plant equipment.
• Implement and validate safety instruments and interlocks during startup of new units.
• Develop and maintain a Process Safety Management program and ensure compliance with PSM pillars.
