Job summary

ADM is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to lead the implementation of progressive PSM systems at the Decatur Complex in Illinois. You will own PSM programs, engage a diverse workforce, and drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The role reports to the Plant Manager and will coordinate with North American subject matter experts to align PSM goals. The Decatur Complex comprises six plants, with significant operations and contractor teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of PSM experience, preferably in a chemical manufacturing or agricultural processing facility.
• Robust experience in applying the 14 elements of PSM.
• Strong problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish a safety culture across the facility based on goals, risk reduction and prevention of process safety incidents.
• Monitor and report PSM performance; advise management on improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Provide PSM training to plant leadership and engineers.
