Job summary

EnSafe is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to join our Atlanta, GA; Jackson, MS; Charleston, SC; Knoxville, TN; or Memphis, TN office. You will work with client teams to improve process safety performance, support regulatory compliance, and reduce operational risk across industries.

The role covers PSM, PHAs, HAZOPs, RMPs, MOC, and safety documentation, with travel up to 75%. ABET-accredited degrees in chemical or mechanical engineering are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of process safety or related experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Experience supporting PSM, PHAs/HAZOPs, or RMPs preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, and audits of PSM programs.
• Contribute to PHAs, including HAZOP studies.
• Assist with PSM audits and evaluation of program elements.
• Develop and maintain process safety information documentation.
• Assist in mechanical integrity programs.
• Prepare SOPs and process safety documentation.
• Deliver PSM-related training.
• Assist with Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
• Support EPA RMP audits and compliance.
• Participate in combustible dust hazard assessments.
• Provide technical support to client operations and maintenance teams.
• Conduct safety audits and communicate recommendations to leadership.
