The successful candidate will help develop standard operating procedures, support plant improvements, ensure compliance with regulations, and work with heavy equipment and hazardous materials safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical/vocational training; health and safety regulations knowledge.
• 6 years direct related experience including hazardous energy, chemicals, and waste handling.
• Experience with test equipment and calibration devices; machinery repair understanding.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic chemistry/physics knowledge.
• Valid state driver's license and relevant boiler/license qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Start/stop and monitor equipment and read gauges; record activities in operating logs.
• Perform plant maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Conduct chemical analysis and maintain chemistry logs for steam, cooling, and condensate systems.
• Develop standard operating procedures and suggest plant improvements for efficiency and safety.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and operate heavy equipment safely.
