Job summary

Calpine, a business unit of Constellation Energy Corporation, is seeking a skilled technician to start, stop and monitor equipment, read gauges, and document activities in operating logs. The role covers maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across mechanical and electrical systems, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

You will perform chemical analysis on steam and condensate systems, maintain logs, and support SOP development for plant improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 years directly related experience with health and safety regula­tions, hazardous energy, chemicals and waste handling.
• Experience with test equipment and calibration appliances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; basic chemistry, physics and mathematics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Start, stop and monitor equipment; read gauges and record activities in logs.
• Perform maintenance, diagnosis, repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Conduct chemical analysis and maintain chemistry logs for steam, cooling and condensate systems.
• Assist in SOP development and plant improvement items for efficiency, reliability and safety.
