Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0–3 years’ Plant Operator experience in a power plant preferred.
• Ability to complete the Control Room Operator qualification card.
• DOT drug screen and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and monitor power plant equipment to maintain safe, efficient performance.
• Control room operations: start/stop, load control, and monitor HMIs.
• Interpret instrument readings and troubleshoot issues in real time.
• Maintain CRO/shift logs and respond to dispatcher orders.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and provide plant condition updates.
