Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking an Operator/Control Operator to oversee the safe, efficient operation of plant equipment, including steam generators and turbines. You will monitor data, perform troubleshooting, and support maintenance under rotating night shifts and overtime as needed.

Ideal candidates have hands-on electrical/mechanical knowledge, strong safety awareness, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a cross-functional, geographically diverse team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals (single craft journeyman skills).
• Basic knowledge of operational characteristics of equipment and associated control devices installed in power facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees safe, efficient operation of plant equipment and monitors performance.
• Troubleshoots operational issues and coordinates with maintenance teams.
