Job summary

The Plant Operator at Verto People Ltd is a full-time position supporting safe, environmentally compliant and efficient operation of a power generation facility. You will monitor plant data, respond to changing conditions and assist with boiler and steam generation operations.

Ideal candidates have power plant experience, strong mechanical skills, and are able to guide junior operators. ASME QRO Provisional licence or the ability to obtain one is preferred, and the role includes shift

Qualifications

• Experience in power plant environments, preferably as Assistant Plant Operator or similar.
• Experience with steam generating power plant operation and control.
• Mechanical skills for equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Ability to perform required calculations and apply math skills.
• ASME QRO Provisional licence or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operational and emissions data for safe, efficient operation.
• Respond to changing conditions to maintain safety, environmental compliance and performance.
• Support boiler combustion, steam flow and power generation operations.
• Guide and train assistant operators and other plant personnel.
• Perform mechanical tasks maintaining boilers and plant equipment.
• Assist with plant operations checks and act as Shift Supervisor when required.
• Work in an industrial environment, including heights and confined spaces.
