Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Plant Operator to maintain safe and efficient boiler operation, monitor emissions, and optimize steam generation. The role includes supervising junior operators and performing routine inspections.

Ideal candidates have power plant experience, mechanical and math skills, and a license path including ASME QRO. Massachusetts sites require a 2nd Class Engineers license, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Two years in a power plant as APO or 5 years related experience.
• Mechanical skills for repairs and inspections.
• Ability to acquire ASME QRO Provisional license.
• Math skills to complete required functions.
• Knowledge of steam generating power plant operation.
• 2nd Class Engineers license required for Massachusetts facilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operational and emissions data.
• Detect and respond to changing conditions to maximize safety, compliance, and efficiency.
• Coordinate, direct, and train Assistant Utility Operator, Utility Operator and other staff.
• Perform equipment inspections during outages.
• Perform physical duties to maintain boilers and plant equipment.
• Maintain a positive work environment with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
• May lead 2-5 employees and serve as acting Shift Supervisor when needed.
