Job summary

CPS Energy seeks a Power Plant OMT to operate, monitor, and maintain Nueces Bay and Barney Davis power plants. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, read readings, and support safety procedures in a 12-hour shift environment. Collaboration with technicians ensures reliable plant performance.

Strong math, mechanical/electrical aptitude, and safe work practices are essential. Proficiency with MS Office and procedural documentation is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong aptitude in math, mechanical/electrical ability, and production control.

Responsibilities

• Operates, performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots and records readings.
• Documents complex issues and submits Work Notifications in the system.
• Works with Maintenance Technicians to resolve plant issues.
• Uses Distributed Controls Systems to operate plant equipment.
• Administers Lock-out/Tag-out and other safety permits.
• Develops and updates standard operating procedures for safe operation.
• Communicates with Control Room Operator and Management on equipment issues.
• Trains and develops other employees in preventive maintenance.
• Lead problem identification and recommend solutions.
