Job summary

NAES Corporation seeks an O&M Technician to support safe, reliable operation of a greenfield power facility near Kirtland, NM. You’ll monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain Jenbacher engine-generator units and balance‑of‑plant equipment, following safety procedures and CMMS documentation.

The role requires a strong mechanical/ electrical skill set with I&C knowledge, and the ability to work rotating shifts in a heavy industrial environment. Prior power plant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in power plant technology or related field preferred.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or I&C maintenance in industrial settings is valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, shutdown, operation, and monitoring of engine-generators and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Monitor performance, identify abnormal conditions, and take corrective actions within procedures.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and follow safety procedures including LOTO.
• Maintain logs and records in CMMS, including inspections, repairs, and performance data.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support continuous improvement in plant operations.
• Collaborate with plant personnel, contractors, and commissioning teams to safely complete activities.
