Job summary

NAES is seeking an O&M Technician at the Tejas Power Generation Facility in Texas. The role involves operating LM6000 and Siemens 501 D5 gas turbines, monitoring PLC/SCADA, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring environmental compliance.

You will conduct inspections, maintain logs in CMMS, coordinate with contractors, and follow LOTO and safety procedures on a Monday–Friday shift with occasional extended hours and callouts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in power generation or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of gas turbines and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read P&IDs, F&IDs, and electrical schematics.
• Experience with LOTO and safety practices.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate LM6000 and Siemens 501 D5 gas turbines and auxiliaries.
• Perform safe startup, shutdown, and routine operation of turbines and balance-of-plant systems.
• Monitor PLC and SCADA; respond to alarms and adjust as needed.
• Conduct plant walkdowns, inspections, and tests using technical drawings and procedures.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records and equipment history.
• Support maintenance activities, outages, and equipment repairs.
