Job summary

NAES Corporation in Dover, DE is seeking an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Technician for our Van Sant Generating Station. You will operate, monitor, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain plant equipment and auxiliary systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred), hands-on power generation experience, proficiency with CMMS, and knowledge of LOTO and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in power plant technology or related field preferred.
• Hands-on experience operating and maintaining power generation or heavy industrial equipment.
• Proficient in plant startup, shutdown, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Working knowledge of CMMS, OSHA requirements, and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, shutdown, operation, and monitoring of plant equipment and auxiliary systems.
• Monitor plant performance and operating parameters; identify abnormal conditions and take corrective actions.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and minor repairs to maintain safe operation.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and prepare for maintenance tasks.
• Maintain logs and equipment history using CMMS; document performance and maintenance.
