Georgia Power Company is seeking a skilled Instrument & Controls Technician for Plant McIntosh Combined Cycle in Rincon, GA. The role focuses on troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of plant control systems and related instrumentation to ensure safe, reliable operation.

You will work with GE Mark VIe and Emerson Ovation DCS, use MAXIMO for maintenance records, and collaborate with Operations to improve plant performance. A technical degree and strong safety focus are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical discipline required.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, loop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and industrial control equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair plant control systems, including GE Mark VIe Turbine Control Systems and Emerson Ovation DCS.
• Maintain and repair electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems used to monitor and control plant equipment.
• Inspect, test, calibrate, and repair electrical control circuits, power circuits, instrumentation, and associated control devices.
• Utilize MAXIMO to manage work orders, maintenance records, equipment history, and inventory activities.
• Partner with Operations and Maintenance personnel to optimize plant performance and reliability.
• Support the development and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on plant efficiency, reliability, and safety.
