Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Commissioning Engineer specializing in the GE Mark VIe Plant Controls System to lead the commissioning of complex Combined Cycle Power Plant projects. You will drive planning, execution, and customer handover with a strong emphasis on safety and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in controls/electrical/mechanical engineering or related field.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% across the United States and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning execution, trials, and acceptance testing of the GE Mark VIe control system for Combined Cycle Power Plants.
• Perform pre-checks, energization, and network verification for full device/subsystem functionality.
• Supervise loop checks, functional tests, and protection testing with proper documentation.
• Coordinate system turnovers from installation to commissioning and customer handover with compliant procedures.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and modify HMI screens and alarm configurations.
• Enforce EHS procedures and subcontractor compliance to maintain a strong safety culture.
• Ensure commissioning activities meet site safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide actionable feedback and detailed site reports to engineering and project teams.
• Manage commissioning test equipment inventory and returns.
• Contribute to lessons-learned and continuous improvement programs.
