Job summary

DGC Operations, LLC in Byron, CA is seeking an Instrument Control & Electrical (IC&E) Technician (non-exempt) to install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems at a natural gas-fired power generation facility with four GE LM6000 turbines.

The role requires five years of control electronics experience, PLC programming, CEMS knowledge, and a strong focus on safety, documentation in CMMS, and coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

• Five years of control electronics experience in power generation or process plants.
• Experience with machinery repair and industrial control systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and vendor manuals.
• Knowledge of high/low voltage switchgear and gas turbine instrumentation.
• CEMS experience and troubleshooting preferred.
• Strong safety practices and ability to document records clearly.

Responsibilities

• Operate gas turbine generators and associated equipment per procedures.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on switchgear, sensors, and instruments.
• Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain plant instrumentation and controls.
• Troubleshoot high-voltage equipment and PLCs; support PM and CMMS records.
• Coordinate with contractors and other teams to meet performance goals.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.
