Job summary

Luminant Power LLC is seeking a Plant Operator in Reading, PA to oversee the operation of gas plant systems from the Control Room. You will execute start-ups and shut-downs, respond to alarms, and coordinate maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong communication skills. Candidates must be able to work under pressure and pass safety/ETP requirements including POSS/MASS program eligibility.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related experience required.
• Power plant experience preferred.
• Must be eligible for POSS/MASS program to be considered.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrate standard computer-based skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control power plant systems from the Control Room.
• Execute plant start-ups and shut-downs; respond to alarms and equipment issues.
• Coordinate maintenance and support safe, reliable operation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as needed.
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental procedures (Lockout/Tagout, etc.).
• Communicate testing results via candidate email during application process.
